- Reflection
When doing some readings, I acknowledged that Malaysia is facing biggest challenge when it comes to waste management, where Malaysia is reportedly generating an immense amount of waste per day. Besides, the poor waste management among the people, such as improper waste management and burning waste in an open area has exacerbated the situation. Since every household in Malaysia use cooking oil, we decided to do a project about managing cooking oil waste, which is repurposing used cooking oil into soap. Therefore, in order to make the public aware about this issue, me and my team chose to approach the public through social media as everyone nowadays use social media. We will educate public on how to manage cooking oil waste properly and what can they do with the used cooking oil. In the beginning of this project, I feel stressed out because I was not clear about the project. However, day by day, with the guidance from my lecturer and my teammates, I finally understand about this project, especially the objective, that is to educate people on waste management by using cooking oil waste as one of the example.
